Fiorino Mud 400: two days, 400 km, and one night at PuntAla Camp & Resort

From Valdarno to Maremma, 400 km of white road, views, and freedom. Two days of pure gravel adventure along Tuscany's wildest and most wild roads.

If you’re looking for something beyond the usual bike ride, the Fiorino Mud 400 is the one for you. A unique experience, well worth savouring, that combines the effort of endurance with the light-hearted spirit of travel, the thrill of discovery with the comfort of an organization designed to let you enjoy every pedal stroke.

The format is simple and captivating: two stages totaling approximately 400 kilometers and over 6,500 meters of elevation gain, to be completed between Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th, 2025. The route departs from the hu Norcenni Girasole Village, in the heart of the Florentine Valdarno, at dawn on Saturday. The goal? To reach the Maremma coast by evening, where an exceptional welcome awaits you at the PuntAla Camp & Resort.

The heart of the adventure: the 400km in two stages!

The route is anything but straightforward: it winds through dirt roads, hills, villages, vineyards, and woods, crossing the provinces of Florence, Arezzo, Siena, and Grosseto. There are no arrows or mandatory stops: you’ll have a detailed .gpx track with water fountains, refreshment points, and helpful navigation tips. You choose the pace, the breaks, and the challenges.

Halfway through, when your legs begin to feel the strain and you’re hungry, you’ll find a true oasis: the PuntAla Camp & Resort, nestled between the pine forest and the sea, will welcome you with hot showers, a food court, mechanical assistance, refills, and a Berber-style camping area where you can sleep on a mat and sleeping bag provided by the organizers. It’s time to catch your breath, share stories with other riders, enjoy a sunset over the sea, and prepare for the second day.

On Sunday, we’ll set off again early. The second stage takes you back toward the Valdarno, closing the loop. You’ll arrive tired but happy, knowing you’ve traversed one of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes on your own two feet and your own mind.

The Fiorino Mud 400 isn’t a race, but your times will be recorded and published. The organization provides luggage support, so you can pedal lightly; and with your registration, you’ll also receive a race pack with products from our partners, professional photos, on-site services, and access to the gravel festival that enlivens the start and finish village.

To participate, all you need is a suitable bike (gravel, MTB, or e-bike), some training, a spirit of adventure, and the mandatory equipment: powerful lights, repair kit, water bottles, power banks, technical clothing for all weather conditions, and a valid medical certificate according to Italian regulations. Everything else? We’ll take care of it. N.B: Check the complete rules HERE.

The Fiorino Mud 2025 isn’t just the 400km race: it’s an entire gravel weekend designed for everyone, from bikepackers to shorter-distance enthusiasts. The heart of the event is the hu Norcenni Girasole Village in Figline Valdarno, a perfect oasis between Florence and the Chianti region, surrounded by greenery and equipped with every amenity: camping, accommodations, restaurants, music, and a festival area.

The three routes will start from here on Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th:

The Fiorino Mud 70km, on Saturday, features a loop and a timed section for those who want to test their skills in a more athletic way. The Fiorino Mud 100km, on Sunday, also a loop, on a spectacular new route with a timed section and plenty of fun climbs. And of course, the Fiorino Mud 400 km, a true two-day adventure designed for those who want to traverse Tuscany in a wild and slow way, sleep in the pine forest, sweat, laugh, and return with a story to tell.

We’ll be waiting for you on the starting grid. Ready to go?
